Description

Dayi “7562” is a classic, well-known worldwide ripe puer. It’s receipt, invented in 1975, is proven by 40 years of manufacturing. “Dayi” is a prime candidate for short-term (several years) aging and/or immediate drinking. This ripe pu-erh is produced of several types of young, robust and quality leaves, carefully blended for optimum flavor. Like other “Dayi” ripe puer products, the leaves compressed into this brick were fermented with great care to preserve the character of the tea. The fermentation process is strictly controlled at every stage to ensure the tea is consistently fermented (neither too much nor too little).

The peculiarity of “Dayi 7562” is slightly shorter post-fermentation period (45 days) that allows to maintain the tea’s vitality. As a result, its taste is more mellow and fresh than other ripe Puers. When brewed, 7563 yields a bright red infusion with a bold, slightly bitter nutty flavor and hints of aged grassy and woody aroma. Its nutty taste softens and sweetens with each new brewing and turns to be softer and velvet. Long aftertaste.

So, “Dayi” became a real standard for ripe puer tea drinkers – both for immediate drinking and for collection and storage.
