Description

Pressed white teas have long won the hearts of tea lovers. This form of aging not only preserves but can even enhance the tea’s qualities over time — many tea connoisseurs now prefer aged white teas in particular.

Our Shou Mei is crafted from carefully selected leaves grown at 800m altitude in the mountains of Fuding, Fujian Province (harvest year: 2016). The base consists of the dark leaves and buds typical of Shou Mei. This is an aged yet wonderfully soft white tea.

The cake measures about 10 cm in diameter. Its rich fragrance can be sensed even through the packaging. Once brewed, aged Shou Mei yields a dark (for a white tea), full-bodied infusion. Properly steeped, it delights with a light, sweet, aromatic taste and pleasant complexity. In the cup you’ll find subtle sweetness, balance, and gentle nutty notes.

If you love white tea, don’t miss our aged Shou Mei — it will not leave you indifferent!

HOW TO BREW SHOW MEI WHITE TEA

Brew 2-3 tea spoons per 200 ml filtered water that was boiled and cooled to 70-80°. Cover with a lid, strain after 3-4 minutes and serve. You can brew the leaves a second and a third time, adding a minute or two to the brewing time. Show Brewing TipBefore brewing, please carefully split the tea leaves along the layers with a sharp knife.
