Description

This amazing tea is basically the leaves of high-quality high-mountain oolong covered with a fine powder of ginseng root. The leaves, rolled up into balls and covered with ginseng “powder,” look more like fine pebbles than tea. The drink’s flavor is as unusual and interesting as its appearance: the delicate, complex, slightly sweet flavor of oolong is mixed with the quite characteristic and piquant ginseng aroma.

The combination of oolong and ginseng is quite intentional — those are two of the favorite ingredients of Chinese traditional medicine. Oolong gives this tea such healthy features as: lowering the level of low-density cholesterol and improved digestion. From ancient times ginseng was famous for its ability to invigorate, remove fatigue, improve thinking capabilities and concentration and even… increase sexual vigor!

This tea has a sweetish taste with an interesting ginseng aftertaste. You can drink it after lunch till night, this tea is perfect to complete a meal or for a break in work. Try to brew ginseng oolong in “Kung Fu Cha” style, brewing the leaves several times in a row. You will be amazed how much each subsequent brew differs from the previous one!


HOW TO BREW GINSENG OOLONG TEA

Brew 1-2 tea spoons per 200 ml filtered water that was boiled and cooled to 85°. Cover with a lid, strain after 2-3 minutes and serve. You can brew the leaves a second and a third time, adding a minute or two to the brewing time
