Description

Bai Hao Yin Zhen is the most exquisite variety of white tea. It is picked in early spring in the high hills of Fujian province. Only the youngest, still unfurled upper leaves covered with white fur are picked for this tea, that is why it is called “White Furred Silver Needles.”

The harvested tea is carefully dried in natural conditions and is subjected to no further processing. This is why it preserves the natural flavor and fine aroma of fresh tea leaves. Bai Hao Yin Zhen is the world leader in concentration of healthy elements: it is rich with antioxidants, vitamins of groups B, С and РР, microelements and amino acids. It contains less caffeine than other varieties. White tea strengthens the immune system, improves blood-clotting ability and contributes to the healing of wounds. It also prevents development of heart and vascular diseases, cancers and caries.

The almond yellow brew has a light aroma with a fine nutmeg note, like honey plant’s. The flavor is sweet and fresh, but not harsh, with a nice slightly sour taste.

HOW TO BREW SILVER NEEDLE WHITE TEA

Brew 2-3 tea spoons per 200 ml filtered water that was boiled and cooled to 70-80°. Cover with a lid, strain after 3-4 minutes and serve. You can brew the leaves a second and a third time, adding a minute or two to the brewing time
