Description

This red tea has beautiful dark, twisted, medium-sized leaves with orange-golden buds that produce a mahogany-toned clear, punchy, sweet-fruity, low-tannin draw in the cup. These century-old tea trees grow at an altitude of above 1,000 m in Guangxi province, and the leaves are harvested in May.

Liu Bao Cha is a dark tea from the southern Chinese province of Guangxi. Here, the local “hei cha” typically stored in a woven bamboo basket for ripening, looks back on a millennium-old tradition. The dry leaf material exudes a pleasant fragrance reminiscent of old, well-seasoned mahogany. This combines harmoniously with the coffee and cocoa notes, from which the tea has its nickname “dark chocolate”, in the taste of the full-bodied infusion, which is characterized by a soft, silky-creamy consistency.

HOW TO BREW GUANGXI OLD TREE BLACK TEA

We recommend brewing 1-2 teaspoons of leaves per 200 ml of boiling filtered water. Cover with a lid, strain after 3-4 minutes and serve. You can brew the leaves a second and a third time, adding a minute or two to the brewing time.
