Shui Xian<\/strong> is a well-known and much loved Oolong tea in China. White it’s a popular tea for the Gong Fu ceremony, Shui Xian can be also found in most Chinese restaurants’ menu. Our Shui Xian originates from the high mountains of Wu Yi Shan, a name that has became a synonym of high quality Oolong teas. Oolong teas from Mount Wu Yi are also referred as Yan Cha (“Rock Tea”) due to the rocky terrain where the tea plants grow. Shui Xian from Wu Yi Shan is also said to have higher minerals contents compared to those grown in southern Fujian and Guangdong.<\/p>\n

Shui Xian is a leafy, dark, charcoal-roasted, highly-oxidized strip-style “yan cha”.The distinctive feature of Shui Xian tea leaves is their size, which is huge in comparison to other Oolong teas.<\/p>\n

It’s a strong and full-bodied Oolong with a scotch-like peaty flavor, a rich, smooth mouth-filling taste and refreshing floral aftertaste.<\/p>\n

Shui Xian is a reasonably-priced introduction to the wonderful and complicated world of “yan cha”, ideal choice for those who would love to drink a satisfying and delicious dark oolong.<\/p>\n

HOW TO BREW SHUI XIAN OOLONG TEA<\/h4>\n

Brew 2-3 tea spoons per 200 ml filtered boiled water. First, briefly wash the leaves in the boiled water, then add water again, cover with a lid, strain after 1-2 minutes and serve. You can brew the leaves a second and a third time, adding a minute or two to the brewing time\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
